Luis Fernando wins 'Maboque' journalism award
Journalist Luís Fernando with O País weekly won US$ 100,000 at the Maboque Journalism Award for 2011, the hand-over ceremony took place on Friday, 9 September 2011 in Luanda.

Nominated for the same award were, Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) journalist, Amílcar Xavier, and Radio Ecclesia’s Sem Duvida.
A former State-owned Jornal de Angola (JA) daily paper journalist who is currently with O País, Luís Fernando, got the reward in absentia for his more than 20 years experience in the journalism industry.
The "Maboque" Journalism Award was created in 1992 by the business group César e Filhos to motivate the Angolan journalists, their creativity and innovation in the performance of their duties. //End//
