MISA-Namibia Congratulates Clement Daniels On Appointment As Media Ombudsman

MISA-Namibia wishes to congratulate human rights lawyer Clement Daniels on his appointment as Press Ombudsman. Daniels, who was appointed at an extraordinary meeting of the Namibia Editors Forum held on 7 August 2009, will deal with public complaints against the media.

“Use the freedom with responsibility. This is our country, let’s be proud of it,” said Mwanza.

Blantyre Print and Publishing (BP&P) Managing Director Leonard Chikadya briefed the minister and cited huge production costs, especially the costs of newsprint as one of the major problems affecting the newspaper business. He thus called on the government to get investors who could venture into paper milling business.
