Minister stresses need to boost television production centre
The Minister of Mass Media, Carolina Cerqueira, on 12 April 2010 highlighted the need to enhance the Production Centre of Public Television of Angola (TPA) in Camama, in order to get from it more dividends and benefits of large valences, both within the recording, training and production levels.

The Cabinet minister was speaking to the press at the end of a four-hour visit she paid to the centre, after having also toured the Television and Radio Broadcast Centre, in Viana, thus ending a cycle of visits carried out to mass media organs and institutions.
Cerqueira pointed out steps aiming at boosting the infrastructures, overcoming technical issues, the availability of financial resource and training of staff. She said that she found a big public investment in Camama, "which is unfortunately asleep, that must be enhanced. It's a sleeping giant," she reaffirmed. "The TPA needs Camama, just like the country needs it to work and that all the potentials should be at the service of public television that will meet the public demands and challenges of the future," she said.
The minister assured that her ministry will have a direct follow up of the Camama project, so that soon "we can get good news on the best use of the potential that it will deliver in the future, because it is a project that has dignity by the fact that it was inaugurated in September 2008, by the head of Executive, President of the Republic of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos. //End//
